Fremantle Sailing Club
The Fremantle Sailing Club is the largest yacht club in Australia and prides itself on a 100+ year history and heritage. The Club has supported and hosted a range of international events over the past 35 years and very excited about the potential of hosting the ISAF World Sailing Championships in 2011. The Club has welcomed this opportunity and has played a major role in the bid for the 2011 ISAF Worlds, and the Western Australia 2011 Organising Committee look forward to continuing this partnership.
City of Fremantle
The City of Fremantle has shown tremendous support for Western Australia’s bid to host the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships. Discussions have taken place with the City around the coordination of the renowned Fremantle Festival to coincide with the proposed timing of the ISAF Worlds in early December 2011, ensuring that visitors will get a true taste of Fremantle’s rich culture and vitality.
Western Australian Yacht Clubs
The Western Australia 2011 Bid team briefed commodores and other key yacht club personnel at a briefing held in August, where the Perth 2011 bid received nothing but positive feedback from everyone. The briefing allowed for each club to provide input and valuable new ideas to the bid team moving forward.
