The International Sailing Federation has announced Perth, Western Australia as the host city for the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships. Western Australia defeated five other countries to secure the event, which is anticipated to attract more than 5,000 visitors to WA, and will be one of the biggest events staged in WA history.

The Western Australia 2011 Organising Committee thanks the WA community for their support, and look forward to making the 2011 World Sailing Championships the best ever.
